Ben - Subject Expert Hi Ben, I believe esteban was referring to the rxn @ 11:13, where an ester appears to undergo a neutral reaction based on what Maribel says and the reagent itself. Is this an exception to the chart that precedes this shown mechanism? It doesnt appear to be a reduction based on the mechanism you have drawn above.

Thank you,

Allen

Ben - Subject Expert so her final product is incorrect then? she has a hydrogen attached when there should be no Hydrogens at all after undergoing this reaction? Or, did she misspeak @ 11:08where she shows a tertiary amide as NR2 with no H's?

Ben - Subject Expert Thank you, that bullet point being addressed cleared up my issue quite a bit.

I'm so confused, from minute 03:50 to 05:50, isn't it the opposite of each choice she chose? The examples right before this are exact opposite of what she said, or maybe im interpretating the question wrong. The molecule that exist at the highest perecentage of hydrate is the one that is more stable compared to a molecule that is less stable because the less table is favored by the reaction and yields less hydrate? or is there more hydrate because of Le. Chat principle?
